Physical exercise facility Zámecký okruh No. 8

The gym is designed as a steel building clad with sandwich panels. With a view to foundation under the level of the surrounding terrain the building is designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete tub and the footings under the steel structures are underneath the bottom of the pit. Because the groundwater level at this point may rise to the hall floor level, the floor is designed so that an increase of the groundwater level results in its controlled flooding to avoid substructure floating.

Because of the water table the excavation works must be aligned with the height of the water in the nearby Opava river; in the implementation of the deeper parts of the pit the water must be pumped.

The new extension is designed as bricked with monolithic reinforced concrete ceilings. Girders and lintels are made of rolled steel beams.

The delivery of the construction, in addition to actual construction works, also includes implementation of technological equipment, incl. water connections, gas and heat connections, roads and landscaping and installation of sports equipment.
