| Characteristics of construction | House of Culture is currently in an unsatisfactory condition in terms of operational, technical and, above all, spatial and aesthetic aspects. The reconstruction is conceived as a return to the original purposes for which the building was intended in the 20th century. The project includes a complete reconstruction of the interior and exterior of the building. The renovation of the existing structures as well as the replacement of inadequate structures with new ones is carried out, and the implementation of all the technologies necessary for the operation of the building is also included. As part of the reconstruction, a new main entrance will be made in the form of an all-glass construction (glazed facade system). The original entrances from the side wings will be completely removed and the internal staircase with it. The original stone cladding in the central part of the building will be retained and refurbished. The side wings and the buttresses at the entrance will be coated with a cement screed with an appearance imitating the look of concrete. The renovation also includes the protection and refurbishment of the existing artwork in the building. |
